Can we consider Chocolate Mousse as an appetizer?

We will be having our Practical exam and we'll be making chocolate mousse for dessert but I figured out that there will be no dessert on the menu just the appetizer and the main dish. I'm just asking so that if it is okay then we will go with it but if not, I think we have to change. Any suggestions please.
