Got my ears pierced 4 weeks ago, would it close in 8 hours if I take them off?

My job doesn't allow earrings and I work for 8 hours, its been 4 weeks now, they aren't bleeding, swollen, no pus, looks fine, but it kinda takes a while to put the earrings back on, I can't see a clear hole through my ears either, would it close up in the 8 hours I'm working?
