What would be a better tattoo location, calf or shoulder blade? What do you think of the design?

I would personally have it placed on your calf. I love the tattoo idea, it sounds beautiful and it's great that it represents things that are so close to your heart. And I think the heart would probably look best as the 'eye' of the feather. Replacing the dot of the 'i' just seems almost too cutesy or something to me lol, it just makes it seem less serious to me. Just my opinion :-)
